Resort Arcobaleno is arguably Brazil's best-kept all-inclusive secret, and travelers who've been there are emphatic about it. Perched on Praia de Taperapuan in Porto Seguro, Bahia, this property has won TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice award ten times over — a track record that very few resorts in Latin America can match. The vibe is festive and social: think Brazilian energy at full volume, with an animation team that genuinely seems to enjoy their jobs, beach parties that spill into the night, and a crowd that's there to have fun. It's not a polished luxury resort, but guests consistently leave feeling like they got more than they paid for.

Food is where Arcobaleno really punches above its weight class. The buffet at Terrazzo Al Mare draws genuine praise for variety and freshness — not the tepid, repetitive spread that defines so many all-inclusives. The beach eco-club means you have full service right on the sand: drinks, snacks, chairs, shade, all included. Three pools round out the daytime experience, and the recreation team keeps things moving with organized games, classes, and shows from morning through evening. Rooms are clean and comfortable without being flashy — the philosophy here is that you're not meant to spend much time in them anyway.

This resort is the perfect fit for sociable travelers, Brazilian families, and anyone curious about experiencing one of Brazil's most storied beach destinations without the hassle of planning every meal and activity. It's not the choice for honeymooners seeking seclusion or travelers who want a European-style spa retreat. But if you want a full-on Brazilian beach holiday with excellent food, warm hospitality, and a crowd that knows how to enjoy themselves, Arcobaleno delivers at a price that makes Caribbean all-inclusives look expensive.

Pros

  • +Direct beachfront access on Praia de Taperapuan, one of Brazil's most celebrated beaches on Porto Seguro's North Shore
  • +TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice winner for three consecutive years, ranking in the top 10 all-inclusive hotels in Brazil
  • +Lively beach eco-club (Terrazzo Al Mare) included in the all-inclusive rate, with beach chairs, service, and activities steps from the ocean
  • +Recreation team runs non-stop activities from morning through evening for both adults and kids, making it feel more like a resort camp than a hotel
  • +Three outdoor pools including a large heated option, so you can swim comfortably year-round even in cooler months
  • +Proximity to Axé Moir and Toa Tôa, two of Brazil's most famous beach club complexes, for guests who want to venture out
  • +International and Brazilian cuisine at the buffet earns consistently high marks for variety and quality, rare for an all-inclusive at this price point
  • +Exceptional staff hospitality noted across reviews as the single most praised aspect of the property, with attentive and personable service throughout

Cons

  • Porto Seguro is not easily accessible internationally — most guests fly via São Paulo or Salvador, adding cost and travel time for non-Brazilian visitors
  • The resort is quite lively and activity-focused, which means it can feel overwhelming for guests seeking a quiet, low-key beach escape
  • Room quality, while clean, is described as functional rather than luxurious — you're paying for the experience and food, not the suite itself
  • Limited English-speaking staff compared to Caribbean counterparts, which can be a challenge for non-Portuguese-speaking guests
  • The beach at Taperapuan is public and can get crowded, especially on weekends when day-trippers join resort guests
  • A la carte dining options are more limited compared to larger all-inclusive chains; most meals default to the buffet
  • Nightly entertainment, while enthusiastic, leans heavily into Brazilian pop and pagode music that may not appeal to all international tastes
  • No rooms with private plunge pools — guests looking for premium room categories with exclusive pool access may feel underserved

A very good place with a reasonable price for the service and food you receive. The rooms are decent and the variaty of meals is nice. It's also very safe and close to paradisiac beaches.
