About Booked & Barefoot

Booked & Barefoot is a free, independent all-inclusive resort comparison website. Prices, ratings, amenities and real traveler experiences for 883 resorts across 35 countries, recorded on the same fields for every property — including whether the place is currently trading, which most booking pages will not tell you.

Why we built this

Planning an all-inclusive vacation usually means twenty open tabs, conflicting reviews, and no easy way to compare what actually matters. We built Booked & Barefoot after living that frustration ourselves. Everything we collect — nightly prices, Google ratings, amenities, closure notices, renovation news, and what past guests consistently praise or complain about — goes into one searchable, filterable catalog, and into a compare view that puts two resorts in one column each so the gaps line up.

What each resort publishes, and what it leaves out

Every resort profile combines Google ratings and reviews, verified traveler sentiment gathered from travel forums and community discussions, tour-operator and resort announcements, and our own research into closures, renovations, and rebrands. We track 873 properties and re-verify statuses against current sources — resort closures are frequently delayed, extended, or reversed, so we never rely on stale news.

Resort data was last updated on October 12, 2026.

Independence, always

We do not accept payment from resorts to influence rankings, ratings, or reviews, and no resort can pay to appear — or pay to hide. Our commitment is to travelers, not resort marketing budgets. If a beach has a seaweed problem or a buffet gets repetitive, you'll read it here.

Who's behind this

Two people. Nobody here has stayed at 873 resorts across 35 countries, and a site implying otherwise would be lying to you. Room counts, amenities and brands come from the properties' own material; ratings and review counts are Google's and are labelled as Google's; and what guests consistently praise or complain about is distilled from public traveler discussion and presented as that.

Status is the part that takes the most work and the part most likely to be stale anyway. 103 properties here are flagged closed rather than deleted, because a resort that reopens should come back with its history intact. Where nobody publishes a figure we leave it blank — 14 resorts carry no rating at all — instead of filling the gap with something that reads well.
