Best All-Inclusive Resorts for a Babymoon
Picked on what matters most for a trip during pregnancy: calm water you can swim in, a short airport transfer, à la carte restaurants where dishes are cooked to order (useful when asking for meat well done or avoiding unpasteurized items), a quiet adults-only setting, and rooms with a tub or plunge pool. Prenatal massage is noted where a spa menu lists it; elsewhere, confirm with the spa before booking. On Zika, CDC advises pregnant travelers heading to areas with current or past transmission to discuss the trip with a healthcare provider and to check its country classifications (cdc.gov/zika/travel).

Bayahibe's Caribbean-side water is about as calm as the Dominican Republic gets, with almost no waves and little sargassum, so this is a beach you actually swim at. At 117 rooms the resort stays quiet, and guests regularly say the food beats properties charging 30–50% more. The transfer from Punta Cana runs 1.5 to 2 hours; flying into La Romana cuts it to about 30 minutes.

Hotel Catalonia Royal Bávaro - Adults Only
A 20–25 minute transfer from Punta Cana airport and the resort's best-reviewed feature is its spa. Food is the weak spot: à la carte dishes are often called bland, and spa treatments cost extra on top of the package.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay
A breakwater turns the beach into a calm lagoon, which is ideal for an easy swim or snorkel, and rooms come with jetted tubs. The resort reopened on April 1, 2026 after Hurricane Melissa, and guests since then single out the refurbished à la carte restaurants. Rooms themselves weren't renovated and look dated, and the drive from Montego Bay takes 60–90 minutes.

Hammock Cove Resort & Spa
Each of the 42 villas has a private infinity plunge pool, and Turquoise Bay's water is calm and sheltered. The food, overseen by a Michelin-trained chef, is the main reason people book. The beach is small and partly decked, there are only two restaurants, and spa treatments are extra.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun
Maroma's bay keeps the water calm and turquoise and tends to keep sargassum away even in peak season. The resort is one of the quietest in the Secrets group and about 30 miles south of Cancun, a short drive by Riviera Maya standards. The seafood is the food highlight. The spa's published menu doesn't list a prenatal massage, so ask before booking.

Serenity at Coconut Bay
Serenity is five minutes from Hewanorra airport, compared with the 90-minute mountain drive to resorts in the north, and every suite comes with a plunge pool and a butler. The Kai Mer spa at Coconut Bay next door lists a Mother to be Massage. The catch is the Atlantic-facing beach: guests call it pleasant to walk but rough for swimming, so you'll do most of your swimming in the plunge pool.
