Boat and snorkel tour from Playa Santiago

An early start: the small boats push off from Playa Santiago at half past seven with no more than eight people aboard. For about two and a half to three hours they follow the rocky coast past the formations the guides have named, El Arco, Godzilla's Throat and the Devil's Backbone among them, plus rocks said to look like a turtle and an elephant.

The snorkel stop is usually Carrizalillo, where schools of fish feed over the coral. Mask, snorkel and life jacket are handed out, and a guide goes in with the group. The route can change with the weather.
