Kinichná Ruins

Two kilometres from Dzibanché, and run by the same ejido, Kinichná comes down to one great building: a huge acropolis rising in three levels to a temple on top, with two more temples on its flanks. Its name means House of the Sun God.

Rulers were buried in its temples. In the Temple of the Jaguar archaeologists found two people laid beside a jaguar with jade, a funerary mask and painted pottery.
