Sunset cruise on Blackwater Sound

Blackwater Sound is the wide, sheltered bay on the Florida Bay side of Key Largo, so the boats from the bayside marinas face west across open water at dusk. The shared cruises are short, about an hour and a half, leaving roughly 90 minutes before sunset, and they double as a wildlife run: dolphins are often seen, and manatees on some evenings. Drinks are usually included and the captain talks about the bay along the way. Private boats run about two hours, and there is also a guided version where you drive your own small pontoon boat behind a lead boat.
