Catamaran snorkel trip to Cayo Media Luna

A bus collects you at the hotel and drops you at Marina Marlin on Cayo Guillermo, where a large catamaran sails out among the small cays of the Jardines del Rey. It stops at two reefs for snorkelling, gear supplied, then ties up at Cayo Media Luna, an undeveloped cay about two kilometres off Cayo Guillermo. Lunch is a buffet at the beach ranchón there, lobster and shrimp beside chicken and rice, followed by free time on the sand before the sail back.
The day takes about six hours with an open bar on board, and you are back at the marina by mid afternoon. Bad weather can move or cancel it. Pack repellent and small cash for tips.
