Humpback whale-watching boat trip

Humpbacks come up from Antarctic waters to breed off the Azuero Peninsula, and Cambutal sits in the middle of that stretch of coast. They are around from July to October, most of all in August and September. Boats go out with local fishermen, usually booked through your hotel.

Other animals share the same water: several kinds of dolphin, false killer whales and pilot whales, manta and eagle rays, and sea turtles. It is also the rainy season, when mornings tend to be clear and the afternoons bring heavy rain, so the early boat makes sense.
