Occidental Cozumel
Royal Level at Occidental Cozumel is the club floor of a 247-room hacienda-style resort set in mangroves and jungle on Cozumel's sheltered west coast, inside Cozumel Reefs National Park. It is about 20 km south of San Miguel town and the airport, a 15-minute-plus taxi to anything off-property, and the mainland is that taxi plus a 45-minute ferry. Best for divers and snorkellers who want to walk from breakfast to the boat, and for families with young children who are happy with a garden resort and a calm beach. Guests who need new rooms, air-conditioned public spaces or nightlife should look at Cozumel Palace in town or cross back to the mainland.
