Royal is the flashier all-suite sister — butler-tier categories, a rooftop pool and restaurant, even a four-lane bowling alley — at a higher rate. Sandals Barbados is the more laid-back original with a lower entry price and rooms closer to the beach in several categories. Because access is fully shared, you lose nothing by sleeping in the cheaper half and playing in both; pay for Royal only if the suite itself, and its quieter upscale tone, is what you're after.
