Catamaran day sail along the south coast
Day trip · Sainte-Anne, Martinique
Le Marin's marina, one of the largest in the Caribbean, sits at the head of a sheltered bay, and the day boats leaving it and Sainte-Anne mostly head west along the Caribbean side. A typical day mixes swimming off the white beaches of Sainte-Anne and Les Salines, a snorkel near the Rocher du Diamant, and a stop at Les Anses-d'Arlet, where green turtles graze the seagrass close to shore. Some boats also nose into the mangroves.
Full days generally include lunch and drinks on board, and half days cover just the nearer coves. Not every boat lends masks, so it is worth packing your own, along with reef-safe sunscreen. Leave the turtles alone; touching them is the one thing the crews will tell you off for.
