Glass-bottom boat to El Arco and Lover's Beach

Glass-bottom boats work out of the marina (water taxis do the same run from Médano Beach) and circle the granite rocks at Land's End, the three-storey arch where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. Sea lions haul out on the rocks beside it, Los Frailes islets included, and the boatmen point out Pirate's Cave on the way. Through the glass you watch the fish below.

Most boats also run passengers over to Lover's Beach (Playa del Amor). The Sea of Cortez side is calm enough to swim and snorkel. Divorce Beach, beside it on the Pacific side, has heavy surf and is for looking at. At low tide the beach gives the best view of the arch from land. Bring shoes, because the sand gets very hot by afternoon.
