Sunset catamaran cruise

Day trip · Los Cabos, Mexico

Two quite different evenings leave the marina at about the same hour, so pick the right boat. Both take roughly two and a half hours and both go out to the Arch and Land's End to watch the light go over the desert.

The quiet ones are sailing catamarans and 50-foot sailboats with small passenger limits, wine and cocktails, and shared plates of appetizers. Some of these take no one under eight and ask passengers to go barefoot on deck. The party boats are big double-deck catamarans with a DJ, an open bar and a buffet dinner, and they get loud once the sun is down.

Sea lions are on the rocks all year, and from December to April whales sometimes show up. Bring a light jacket in those months, as the evenings on the water are breezy. A small dock fee is paid at check-in.
