Catamaran cruise to Dunn's River Falls

The sail is only the warm-up. After a short snorkel stop on the way, the catamaran brings you to Dunn's River, where guides line people up hand in hand and lead the chain up roughly 180 metres of terraced limestone, through pools and over ledges, with cold spring water pouring down around you. The climb takes an hour to an hour and a half with photo stops, and staff film it for sale afterwards. Steps beside the falls let non-climbers watch, or bail out partway.

Wear water shoes and leave jewellery behind. Lockers are available at the park. The bar on board stays shut until the climb is done and opens for the sail back, with music and snacks. Some sailings take adults only, and the climb is hard going for anyone with back, neck or joint trouble.
