Deep-sea fishing charter

Blue marlin is the fish. The charters leave from the Marina at Casa de Campo, and deep water starts a short run from the breakwater, so little of the day goes on getting there. The marlin season is February to May, best in March and April. Sailfish, white marlin, wahoo, mahi-mahi and yellowfin tuna make up the rest of the catch, and there is fishing all year.

Billfish are catch and release here. You hire a whole boat with captain and crew through the marina's harbourmaster or concierge, gear comes with the boat, and the crew will shape the day around a first-timer as readily as a regular.
