Ferry to Cozumel
Day trip · Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Two companies, Ultramar and Winjet, run the crossing from the main ferry dock at the south end of town, just past the plaza and next to the Paseo del Carmen mall. Boats go about hourly from morning to evening and take half an hour. Ultramar sometimes uses a second pier, Muelle Constituyentes, so check the ticket.
Cozumel sits on the big reef system and has the best diving near Playa. It is also a major cruise port, so the town fills up on ship days.
