Recife de Fora boat trip

Recife de Fora is the reef off Porto Seguro, and the boat out to it is one of the town's most popular trips. It goes at low tide, when guides lead groups onto the exposed reef to look at the sea life in the pools. Standing on the reef kills the coral, so tread as little as you can.

Dive centres in town also bring certified divers and first-timers here. It is shallow (8 metres at most) and visibility is usually only a few metres, so it suits a first try rather than a serious dive.
