Cenote Santa Cruz

On the Cobá road at Rancho Viejo, Santa Cruz is a round cenote in the forest that you can swim the full circle of, with jumping platforms, a sun deck and picnic tables. A small family-run restaurant serves Maya and Mexican food, and a shop sells snorkel and swim gear. There is camping and a palapa cabin for anyone who wants to stay the night. It sees fewer tour groups than the cenotes nearer town and makes an easy stop on the way back from Cobá. You need a taxi, car or scooter to get there.
