Splash Island Water Park

An inflatable obstacle course anchored in the shallows off Reduit Beach, in front of Bay Gardens Beach Resort. It opened in 2015 as the Caribbean's first open-water sports park, and the idea is a floating gym rather than slides: a trampoline, a climbing wall, monkey bars, a swing, hurdles, a spinning top you rock to turn, a seesaw, and a water volleyball area.

Everyone falls in constantly, which is most of the fun, but balance and some strength help. Life jackets are handed out and compulsory, and lifeguards watch the course. Rodney Bay is calm and shallow here, which makes it easy going for families. Passes are sold by the hour, half day or full day, and guests of the Bay Gardens hotels get in for nothing. The beach bars and restaurants along Reduit are a short walk up the sand for lunch.
