• −Select guests cannot use the other hotels on the campus. The hotel's own FAQ says so flatly, and the benefit runs one way: TRS Coral guests can cross into all three properties, not the reverse. Older reviews describing a water taxi over to TRS restaurants do not describe this booking
• −Only four swim-up rooms exist in the whole hotel, two Ambassador Suites and two Signature Suites. The 22 Junior Suite Pool Access rooms are the realistic way to get water at your door
• −493 rooms across a sprawling campus, and some buildings sit well back from the sand. Guests report leaning on the shuttle carts and waiting for them at busy hours
• −The signature evenings are all surcharged: CHIC Cabaret & Restaurant, Le Petit Chef and the BRAVO Dinner & Dance Experience each cost extra, as does every Zentropia spa treatment and overnight room service
• −Imported spirits sit outside the all-inclusive. The bars pour premium national and international brands, but the top shelf is billed separately
• −Nothing built for teenagers. The clubs stop at 13 and the hotel states it has no fun zone, so 14 to 17 year olds fall back on the general entertainment program
• −Costa Mujeres has almost no off-resort life and no walkable restaurant strip, so anything outside the gates means a taxi toward Cancun
• −Guests report Palladium Travel Club approaches during the stay. A clear no at check-in and again at the lobby desk usually ends it, but expect to have the conversation
