Meliá Casa Maya Cancún All Inclusive
Melia Casa Maya Cancun is a small, family-focused all-inclusive built inside a 1980s condo complex on the point of the Hotel Zone that faces Isla Mujeres. Melia signed on to manage it, renovated the whole property and reopened it under its own name on December 16, 2024, then kept adding: the YHI Spa, the 24-hour YHI Moves gym and a snack bar at the water park opened in September 2025, and the main pool is now heated. A handful of private condos remain in the complex. Treat any review from before the reopening as describing a different hotel.

The day revolves around the two pools and the Splash Island water park, which has three slides for ages six and up, three smaller slides for little ones, a spray park and interactive games. The Kidsdom kids club is aimed at school-age children (Sunwing lists it from age six; the hotel's GM described it as five to 12). Dining is generous for the size: the Merkado buffet and The Grill sit beside the pool, Casa Nostra does Italian with a wood-fired oven, and Cape Nao serves seafood with ocean views, plus the Ñom snack bar. The buffet's limited variety is the complaint that keeps coming back. Rooms are spacious, all but the entry level have balconies, and The Level adds suites with living areas, a VIP lounge, a reserved beach section and exclusive breakfast at Cape Nao.
This is a resort for families with young children who want a real beach in the Hotel Zone without paying Hyatt Ziva or Secrets prices. It is not for couples after quiet, and families with teenagers may find it thin. Cancun's Hotel Zone sits in Benito Juárez, where the state environmental fee is 70 percent of the daily UMA, about 82 pesos per room per night from February 1, 2026, paid at check-in. Isla Mujeres is a ten-minute walk to the ferry, and the malls, the Maya Museum and the Xcaret parks are all within easy reach.
