And the property is no longer coasting on history: a village of 22 Rondoval Butler Villas with private pools opened for March 2025 arrivals, including 8 rooftop Sky Villa Rondovals with soaking tubs and telescopes — some of the newest, highest-end accommodations anywhere in the Sandals portfolio, with further expansion phases (spa, new suites, revamped golf) announced.

The swimming beach issue is genuine and worth stating clearly: yellow flags limiting swimming are common at La Toc's cove beach. This is a structural feature of the bay's positioning, not a temporary problem. Guests who book Sandals primarily for beach swimming and snorkeling are sometimes disappointed. The split layout — main beach area at sea level, additional villas and pools on the clifftop — adds character but also requires navigating stairs throughout the property.

Compared to Sandals South Coast (Jamaica), La Toc has better views but a worse swimming beach.
