Cenote Nicte-Ha

Water lilies float on Nicte-Ha, and plants grow under the surface too, which is what sets it apart from the cavern cenotes in the same park. It is a small, clear pond in a shallow limestone dip, about eight metres at its deepest, with paved paths and terraces around it and a ledge to jump from.

It belongs to Parque Dos Ojos, so you pay at the park's visitor centre on the access road first. Life jackets are lent free and snorkels are rented. Snorkellers drift over the plants, and divers use it for easy, shallow dives.
