Cenote Chikin-Ha

Stairs lead down from the parking lot to a small pool of open water, which is where cenote divers settle their buoyancy before heading into the cavern. Nowhere is deeper than about nine metres, so dive shops use it for first cenote dives and for cave training. Non-divers swim and sit in the sun at the edge while the groups are underwater.

It lies in forest about ten minutes south of Puerto Aventuras, a short way off the highway. Guided groups are kept to four divers.
