Dolphin Explorer

The dolphins here swim in the sea itself, on the Cabeza de Toro coast, and the swim programmes put you in the water with them for somewhere between half an hour and an hour. The shorter ones pair a group with one dolphin for a handshake and a fin greeting; the longer ones bring in two dolphins.

The park around the lagoon has sea lions, sharks, stingrays and an aviary of tropical birds, and a general admission ticket covers those without a swim. There is also a catamaran, the Dolphin Cruiser, that runs through the shallow water along the Cabeza de Toro nature reserve. Booking ahead is cheaper than paying on the day.
